Why won’t my RFID blocking wallet block hotel room key cards?

Hotel keys use 125kHz low-frequency signals. Our wallet protects 13.56MHz high-frequency cards (credit cards, IDs, NFC). Different frequencies mean no full blocking.

How do I know if my hotel card is low-frequency?

If your phone’s NFC shows no response when near the card, it is 125kHz low-frequency.

Is this a product quality issue?

No. The wallet works for credit cards, IDs and NFC cards. Not blocking hotel keys is normal, not a defect.
